Melody Friend

Melody is a West Virginia girl that moved just across the state line to Garrett County, Maryland when she met her husband, Brian. Though she played basketball and softball in high school and as a young adult, the spectator position is best for her now. There is no long list of credentials or awards or affiliations for her, only an amazing story of how Jesus brought her into His family in 2013. In short, Brian was called to lead her and their three kids (Julia, Chance, and Brody) to the Lord and they have never looked back. 

Melody’s new life has sparked a desire to work in ministry and devote her focus to further the kingdom. FCA is an organization that touched her heart through what she saw at fundraising dinners and other activities in the community.  

Romans 12 is where Melody goes to on a regular basis since this was the first part of scripture that truly spoke to her as a new believer. She relies mostly on Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
